Shirkey for Judge 2026

Stephanie is proud to come from humble beginnings. Growing up, her family of six struggled to make ends meet, but that struggle gave her a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude. She attended public school and worked hard to get into UC Berkeley followed by UC Law San Francisco.

 

After passing the California Bar Examination in 2006, she practiced law in California’s legislative, executive, and judicial branches. She currently works at the court of appeal in Sacramento where she helps appellate justices make decisions on criminal and civil cases. She also serves as a temporary judge at the El Dorado County Superior Court, where she presides over traffic, small claims, unlawful detainer, and probate matters.

 

She is also actively involved in my community and the lives of her two teenagers. She is a member of National Charity League with her daughter and a regular volunteer with her husband at their son’s high school band events.

 

She would be honored to continue serving the community as superior court judge.
